Textul de pe ultima copertă

This is an inspirational sourcebook for planning and building riverside developments. It documents a selection of about one hundred projects. Examples of concrete planning tasks are arranged in thematic groups and are therefore easy to find. Riverscapes shows successful architecture, urban developments and landscape designs along European rivers. The book offers inspiration and suggestions for creating vibrant, high-quality designs for waterfront neighborhoods and open spaces. The selection of examples from the Cologne/Bonn region focuses on the potentials offered by the Rhine riversides. The seminal designs for a number of different types of waterfront sites presented in this publication open up new perspectives for the urbanized Rhine riverscape and its inhabitants.
