R J's Gifts is a multifaceted story with as many convolutions as is depicted by the coral vine on the book cover. It is one book with two distinct plots, one of which could stand on its own (in italics) and the other (standard print) needing the first for support, but in the end one realizes the book involves three separate love stories. The author invites the reader to be surprised, to anticipate, to worry, to grieve, to become frustrated, to lose hope, to regain hope, to be patient, to survive, and to be happy as the story unfolds.
