Athena Roe was born in Pueblo, Colorado into a traditional middle class family. Her father was a psychologist and her mother a nurse, who inspired creativity and honesty. Athena was influenced by her Italian immigrant grandparents who supported her at every turn. Mike her grandfather taught Athena to stand up against corruption where ever it was found. Athena interviewed dozens of experts for her book including the great constitutional law scholars and our new Regulatory Chief. Athena became aware of fraud, waste, and abuse during estate administration that affected her family.
