Recenzii
Chris Seeman offers refreshing insights and challenging hypotheses concerning the development of the Hasmonean high priesthood and its role in relations with Rome. Although readers may not always find themselves in agreement, there is much that can be learned from this important study. (Joseph Sievers, Professor of Jewish History and Literature of the Hellenistic Period, Pontifical Biblical Institute, Rome)
