Ryan and Barb are leading busy lives running a company, raising their baby, and dealing with an elderly grandmother. The last thing they need is to have some surprises thrown at them. When Barb's dad comes home for a visit, he has some unsettling news for Barb. Then an old flame from Ryan's past shows up on their doorstep If that weren't enough, Ryan and Barb find themselves in a position they never dreamed they would be in, and because of it they are faced with a lot of new challenges. Ryan's Aunt Carol has her own set of issues, too as she continues to heal from a traumatic incident and deals with love and loss in her life. In the end, they all learn an important life lesson--life does not always happen the way you expect it to, and when it doesn't, letting go is not always easy to do.
