An evaluation of the Reformed doctrine of the Sabbath comparing the Church Fathers and Sixteenth Century Reformers with the Puritan doctrine, examining relevant biblical texts and historical resources, and addresses the sabbatarian position of the Westminster Standards. Emphasis is laid on the meaning and significance of Sabbath observance for today and its relevance for the Christian.
