Just a small-town girl with no real dreams, no aspirations, no real feeling of any purpose in life, just the constant feeling of doom and fear, Cristy goes through life as she realizes that fear has been like a loyal dog. But she also realizes that God has been right there too, with her, protecting her, guiding her, and trying to make her see that all she really needs in life is him. After the deaths of her children and major depression set in, she finally finds God and what she had been looking for all along.
