A young nurse's aid is compelled to help a poor mountain family that has a boy with a broken leg. All her preconceived ideas about the family fall far, far short from the actual facts. Her spunky determination and soft heart pushes her to trudge though the next few months to help straighten out this poor family. Battles, tears, scares and pure fury (at times) keep her going in this distant region, while she makes plans to return home with enough money to pay her nursing school fees. What then happens to her is beyond her wildest fears or dreams. She strives hard to hold onto her sanity as well as her heart. Can she survive?
