Samantha is new in town, a single parent of two girls, and battling ghosts from her past. Due to the emotional and physical pain of failed past relationships, Samantha is determined to be the only person her children need and that means swearing off men. Jake is a firefighter and a hero in the town's eyes while also trying to be a successful single parent. Added to his plate is the desire to get to know the new neighbor across the street, but she seems aloof. Will the two be able to establish a relationship beyond being neighbors?
