Notă biografică

David "Sonny" Sisler was born in Wardensville, West Virginia, in 1938. For his father's employment, the family moved to the small Southern town of Winchester, Virginia, where he grew up. Sonny is the oldest of four children. As a young boy in the late 1940s, David worked as a country club caddie. In the early 1950s he was earning his own spending money and buying his school clothing. In high school David played basketball and ran track and field. For basketball he was offered a partial scholarship to college, but he chose a different college and accepted the help of a Lions Club scholarship. After a year of college he dropped out and got a job.David learned to play golf as a caddie, and the game stuck with him through life. He was always a fairly skillful player but had no opportunity to improve his ability in high school or college because there was no golf program.Nevertheless, he maintained his skills and continued to play as a recreational golfer while raising a family and thereafter. At this writing David is age eighty-four. Since the age of seventy-two he's continued shooting his age each year and said, "It's getting easier."The tips and observances shared in Savvy Caddie Golf Secrets are not the end-all and should be used as guidelines in your pursuit of satisfactory recreational golf games.
