Scorn: The Art of the Game

Autor Matthew Pellett
Notă:  5.00 · o notă - 1 recenzie
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 2023
In this coffee table hardback, uncover the concept and vision behind Scorn, alongside
insight from the artists and software designers at Ebb. The game is set in a
nightmarish universe of odd forms and somber tapestry inspired by the work of H.R.
Giger, and designed around the idea of "being thrown into the world". This lavish
book explores the characters, creatures, weapons, and locations, with maps, user
interfaces, concept art, and original designs. The unsettling biomechanical
environment is a character in itself, and every location reveals its own theme,
puzzles, and characters that are integral in creating a cohesive lived-in world.

Zsolt Banyai a dat nota:

From a subjective point of view, this book is a masterpiece when it comes to H.R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński and I dare to say that there are some H.P. Lovecraft in there as well. Even if the game was not played, the book can be enjoyed because, aside the art work, it is also a Lore book, also a huge warning, this is not for people who are not interested in body horror or biopunk, but if there is interest in such topics, this book might become the buyers next bible.
