They'll face snivelling minions, nefarious inventions, uncooperative pigs, the perilous Walk of Fiery Doom and strange-named teenagers with bad haircuts. All to put a new king on the throne of Wintertide, and put an end to the modders' despicable plans.

Scuttlebutt Brightly has a lot on his mind. His best friend, Soot the talking creeper, has been kidnapped by a pair of modders, who intend to exterminate all the creepers in Minecraftia. The modders have a giant power-laser. His only hope of stopping them is to find a wanderer named Jumbleweed, who never stays in one place very long. But worst of all, Scuttlebutt still hasn't found a single piece of treasure.

In his search for this mysterious Jumbleweed, Scuttlebutt hears rumours that all the creepers in Minecraftia are gathering at the distant Mount Spire, at the call of a legendary lightning creeper. And, naturally, he hears the modders have plans to interfere.
