The book "Searching For My Eden" is a novel broken into five pivotal life experiences of a young Black African man who grew up in an African country torn by an ethno-religious civil war between Arab Muslim Northerners and Black African Christian Southerners. The south broke away from the union and forms a nation known as "Naiwata." The protagonist losses his parents to the war and later joins Naiwata's intelligence unit. Book one set the pace for the tale. The setting of an African country thorn by ethno-religious sentiments fueled by the global cold-war between Russia and the USA, Russia supporting of Muslim Arabs and USA supporting the Christian black Africans is painted and placed before the reader. Book two chronicles the protagonist's life as the war began, the death of his mother and his father who was his mentor, the psychological breakdown, and the consequent decision to join the army. But he finds love somehow in the midst of it all. Book five chronicles his capture and life in solitary confinement. This book trailed the catalytic nature of life in a world as polarized as ours and attempts to show us the power of love, anger, vengeance, lust, religious bias. The book is an unusual fusion of escape literary and very serious literature. It ultimately seeks to change man's world outlook. It takes the reader through soul-searching issue, heart-racing action and deceit in the underground world of intelligence and culminates in a discourse on fate, religion and life in its entirety. This works draws a lot from the Nigerian and Sudanese experience so far
