Sebastian was turned into a vampire on his eighteenth birthday by his mother, whom he thought had died ten years earlier. He struggled for meaning as a vampire and at first, he learned compassion and how to control the savage instincts inside him from his mother. And so, he lived amongst humans without spilling human blood. Two hundred years later, his mother is killed and he blamed humans. He planned an "accidental" meeting, which does not go well.
