Naïve as a spring colt, green as spring grass, Steve galloped into North Park an educated, well-trained, and well-equipped recruit who soon realized his cultural, social, and biological education had just begun. And what a journey it was! Riding herd over droves of men and women recreating throughout the North Park outback for over two decades, Steve encountered awe-inspiring tales on every trail.


Set in the high elevation remoteness of North Park, the Native American bison hunting grounds they called the Bull Pen, the reader will understand why Steve's lengthy stay extended far beyond the valley's wild splendor. The human element of family, friends, community, sense of place; working for the wildlife resource with people who cherishes it as much as he does.


Both the First and Second Cache were Steve's Covid-19 therapy, giving him time to complete the most mind boggling, soul cleansing, heart wrenching accomplishment of his entire life.
