Secret Warwick: Secret

The county town of Warwick is famous for its mediaeval castle and Church of St Mary containing the Beauchamp Chapel but its history contains much more that has been often overlooked.

Warwick was home to two prisoner of war camps in the Second World War – for Italians and Germans – and the church contains the banner of Montgomery of Alamein as well as a memorial to soldiers murdered by the SS in 1940.
