Seeds of the Past

Her parents emigrated from Poland to the United States in search of a better life. But to Paula, the old-fashioned values of her upbringing have always felt oppressive. While her friends in Atlanta threw parties and got into trouble, she was forced to live by a set of strict rules and regulations tracing back to her home country-as dictated by a "backward" father determined to keep family traditions alive.

Now in early adulthood, Paula has the opportunity she's always wanted. Breaking loose from the ties of her cultural heritage, she begins to experiment with her newfound freedom and sample the types of life experiences that used to be reserved for anyone but her.

But as Paula continues to grow and mature, a surprising truth, too, begins to emerge. As the novelty of rebellion wears off, she finds that living free of rules and boundaries isn't all it's cracked up to be. Feeling a deep connection with her family roots that she never knew existed, Paula goes off in search of the love and loyalty of home...but it could take a journey of thousands of miles to finally find her way there.
