Kyra Stevens has three months to put together the venture for a billion dollar resort on quaint Cape Cod. She also has her boss's beachfront estate for her personal use and a dead woman who resembles her on the dining room floor. As the workaholic right hand to a business legend, Kyra must bring to the table a done deal. If she fails, everything she worked for is in jeopardy. She knows she has to succeed. She feels a passionate attraction to the State's detective Lieutenant Tom Braden. She is also furious that the town's Chief of Police believes she is the prime suspect and could stab another woman. When a stranger bursts into her bedroom while the police are downstairs, she fights back and the Lieutenant comes to her aid. He is positive she is innocent and believes Kyra was the intended victim and not the dead woman. Thrown together, their attraction ignites and against their better judgement they have an affair. She can't believe that someone is trying to murder her, though she realizes someone continues to stalk her. Eventually, Kyra knows she will have to make a decision, love or her career. That is, if she survives.
