This book is an imperfect attempt to reflect openly on the realities of my own romantic imperfection. I hide my blemishes in certain paragraphs, and overshare in others. I hope that any hypocrisy in the writing of this book is evident and only serves to further remind readers that I relinquish all pretension about this topic. I write about romance from a biblical perspective because I need to - because I am a failure in this area, perhaps more than any other area in my life.
