Recenzii
This is an important and interesting subject which the book examines thoroughly. The process of restorative justice is put into an international perspective. Guidance is offered on how it should be practised and there is analysis of data on the different models used around the world. The book looks at the experience of different countries, including tribal 'healing circles' and truth commissions as alternatives.
It is this element, coupled with the victim-centered approach, that makes the book an insightful and accessible read for students, practitioners, and seasoned academicians.
This is a very important book and it comes at a very important time, especially for Scotland. While it has clear relevance and importance for restorative justice in relation to sexual violence, it has broader implications too. It helps map out the challenges for justice responses to sexual offences and how they might be understood and responded to.
