Shadow Grove is a two-work compilation by martial artist and author, Sleiman Azizi. The works, Dancing Embers and Cloud Break, were written as aesthetic memoirs of lessons learnt through the martial arts. Expressed in English through the seemingly random style of Japanese zuihitsu writing, the works offer the unique perspective that proper martial arts exist as an entirely natural phenomenon.
