1972 - Viet Nam. A young father is shot by a mysterious sniper in the waning days of the Viet Nam conflict. He leaves behind a young wife and infant daughter named Krystal. Years later, when Krystal turns sixteen, she sets out in search of the mystery of her father's death. At the Viet Nam Memorial, she meets a young policeman who reluctantly helps her. Unfortunately, along the way Krystal stumbles across some of the truth and suffers the same fate as her father. A sniper round blasts a hole right through her chest, nearly killing her. She spends six months recovering in a hospital and loses track of her policeman, who she now realizes she is deeply in love with him. To bury her grief and take her safety into her own hands, she joins the Marine Corp as a sniper. Ten years later, Krystal, older, wiser and bitter, returns to New York to continue her search for the man who shot her AND her father. But at night, when the demons crawl through her dreams, she longs to find the man she fell in love with many years ago.
