After seeing a lecture by the noted Frontier man Buffalo Bill, a young girl of twenty three, Jenny Simpson, an adventurous girl, is determined to go to California and search for gold. Since she couldn't go without a man, she disguises as a man so she could go on the wagon train, but it was not what she had expected. She came into the world where only the fittest would survive, and the only law was the gun. The 2,170 mile trip was filled with danger at every turn, and any day could mean your demise. After reaching the gold camp, she thought her problems were over, but it had just begun.
