Silk and Sonnets

The poet writes with words rich from the heart.
In a world of suffering he comforts.
He dissects thoughts and slices them apart.
Verse after verse he vomits words of hurts

and you the analyst dissect the words,
judging them by how you can relate or
how they make you feel soon afterwards.
For it is you the poet's words are for.

For years the poet shared their world in word,
entertaining he who chose to witness.
And you, the analyst, for years have heard,
through imagery, the sorrow and the bliss.

Oh may the poet's words forever pour
and you, the analyst, read evermore
