Autor Karen Ruth Meyer
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 9 mar 2018 – vârsta până la 12 ani
Simon Kenton left home at age 16, thinking he had killed a man in a fight. He explored Kentucky, scouted for generals, and helped settlers stay alive in the wilderness. His capture and torture by the Shawnee nearly ended his life at age 23. He lived to tell the tale, both in Kentucky and Ohio.

Notă biografică

Karen writes to excite young readers about pioneer history. She enjoys visiting schools as Grandma Sarah, a pioneer woman from her series, Settlers of the Ohio Frontier. Ohio has many famous historical figures, so Karen took up her pen to introduce John Rankin and John Parker (from Ripley, Ohio) and Orville and Wilbur Wright (from Dayton, Ohio). Writing a youth biography of Simon Kenton has been a longtime goal, ever since Kenton appeared in her first novel, Conflict at Chillicothe.
