Sinful Pride: The Origin of all Deadly Experiences

Autor Obeng Raymond
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 30 mai 2013
Sometimes, we are proud of what other people do or become. This is not a sin. With this, we are only acknowledging their good deeds, and great achievements, and this motivates them to consistently do the right things. Apostle Paul even used such an expression when speaking to the people to whom he wrote letters. This is just one aspect of pride. The other one-sinful pride-is the aspect that the Almighty God wants humanity to avoid in their lives. This pride makes man think that he is like Jehovah.Sinful pride has proven to be the origin of all deadly experiences in the world. All sins originate from it. If we need to make our journey in life a success, then we need to avoid and run away from sinful pride. It does not profit a man to be as proud as Lucifer, or a king like Uzziah or Nebuchadnezzar in the Bible, or some proud men and women who are dead and gone, or some people in our world today who pride their lives to the extent that they see other fellow human beings as nothing. Indeed, if we want to be lifted up, we need to be humble enough to receive God's grace to see us through in the realization of our aspirations.
