Notă biografică
Fiona Boyd is a happily married children's author, illustrator and motivational speaker with one daughter, living in the Scottish Borders. Brought up in the Yarrow Valley near Bowhill House, Fiona loves spending time in the countryside. Her knowledge of the local legends inspired her to create a magical tale based around the mystical "Tamlane's Well" on Bowhill Estate. Fiona is confined to a wheelchair due to Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and Joint Hypermobility Syndrome. Although Fiona was an artist, she lost the use of her hands for several years and never thought she would be able to paint again. Fortunately, due to her patience and positive mental attitude, Fiona gradually learned how to hold a pen again and now takes enormous pleasure in writing and illustrating. Her first children's book, Princess Arebeena and the Crystal Fairies, was published in 2019 and is now available worldwide. Fiona is a Global Ambassador for Kiss Goodbye to MS - a worldwide campaign that enables people around the world to raise funds for vital research into Multiple Sclerosis and support people living with MS today. The global campaign is hosted by the MS International Federation (Registered Charity No: 110532). Five per cent from the sale of Fiona's books will be donated to this worthwhile global charity.
