A lifetime of outdoor experiences: birdwatching forays with Grandmother as a lad, observing red wings sitting on grassy stalks in a drainage, spying hidden deer waiting for sundown, treeing four raccoons at my parents' farm, catching wildlife on trail camera in the light of the moon, stepping where no foot ever trod in Quebec...
