Recenzii
It was the winner of the John T Crissey Prize 2023.
'This is very much a text driven book with an academic bend but it is very readable and fascinating and there is a good collection of endnotes. This is a considerable and scholarly work on the topic as stated in the title.'
- Dr. Harry Brown, General Practitioner, Leeds, UK
"...a milestone in the historiography of dermatology precisely thanks to its comprehensiveness, its specificity, and its systematicity."
- Doody's Review Service
"This book is a must-read for dermatologists and anyone interested in the history of medicine."
- JEADV
"This book offers the advantage and the possible countereffects of such a vast collection of material: whereas it covers almost all aspects of the topic, it also conveys the approximations that are necessary to complete the picture. Nevertheless, it will be a milestone in the historiography of dermatology precisely thanks to its comprehensiveness, its specificity, and its systematicity." - Alain Touwaide, Ronin Institute
