The Office of Advocacy is the voice of small business within the federal government. Their mission includes collecting and disseminating data on the status of American small businesses. This book provides a snapshot of small businesses in each state, territory, the District of Columbia, and the United States using the most recently available government data. The profiles showcase several different data points associated with the nations small businesses including but not limited to the number of small businesses, how many jobs small businesses create, how many small businesses export, and the leading small business industries in each state.
