Steve
Smallman
lives
in
Staffordshire
with
his
wife
and
the
two
youngest
of
his
four
children.
He
has
been
illustrating
books
for
over
thirty
years,
and
writing
his
own
stories
for
the
past
five.
Steve
won
the
Sheffield
Children's
Book
Award
in
2009
with
Smelly
Peter
-
The
Great
Pea
Eater.
A
Derbyshire
lad
born
and
bred,
Sean
studied
at
the
Mansfield
College
of
Art
and
then
moved
to
Bristol
to
study
Illustration.
He
still
lives
in
Bristol
with
his
girlfriend,
with
whom
he
shares
an
allotment,
two
goldfish,
a
love
of
cake
and
a
dream
that
one
day
they'll
get
a
dog
and
some
chickens.
