Dinosaur fanatic Timothy Remington-Rex gets swept up in a huge adventure when he visits a fabulous, fossil-filled island.
The seabirds have vanished and nobody seems to know why... Tim, being an amateur sleuth, can't resist getting involved, so he enlists the help of a local girl, the brilliant Jasmine Beasley, and together they scour the island for clues, gathering a host of remarkable new friends along the way.
Meanwhile, buried deep beneath the earth in a labyrinth of giant caves, a slave force of 'ape-men' labour day and night under the cruel whips of 'Vorechomps' - the brutal descendants of carnivorous dinosaurs. For ages beyond count an uneasy truce has kept the peace between mankind and this far older civilisation. But no longer. Using a dreadful new weapon, codenamed 'Snapdragon', a rebellious group of 'scalies' seek to conquer the earth and rebuild their lost world.
