Solving The Spiritual Dilemma

Autor Michael Copple
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 7 apr 2022
The goal of Solving the Discernment Dilemma is to boldly yet methodically communicate with heartfelt love toward the unbeliever. In chapter 1, What is Discernment? some of the objectives of the book's goal are to describe terms such as belief, truth, falsehood, choices, reasoning, motivations, knowledge, and wisdom. In short, the first chapter is about making the best decisions and knowing right from wrong. Chapter 2, Discernment - A Matter of Life and Death, describes today's anything goes attitude and brings forth the consequences of either accepting or rejecting the truth. The main point is to illustrate that discernment gives man the spiritual power to make the most important decision of his life: that which has eternal consequences. Chapter 3, The Discernment Dilemma, referring to 1 Cor. 2:14 and Rom 10:17, explains how unsaved persons are challenged by the dilemma of not being able to understand what it is that saves them-until they are saved. In this chapter is a section titled The Entryway to Heaven, which consists of 1) Admitting guilt; 2) Repenting and sincerely being remorseful; 3) Accepting forgiveness by the shed blood of Christ Jesus; and 4) Accepting the unconditional love of God and returning love to Him with obedience. The first step of obedience for the new believer is baptism, and a thorough explanation is provided. Chapter 4, What is Redemption? clarifies much needed discernment of the terms redemption, reconciliation, and salvation. The chapter also describes the simplicity of the Gospel message, the differing degrees of discernment, and the eternal importance of how children should be disciplined promptly.
