The American society has achieved an impressive growth on its evolutionary road from the relatively primitive British colony to a modern "empire." This journey has not been a smooth ride, but the overall performance of the crew and vehicle during this voyage has been steady and spectacular at times. Most of American ideologues, politicians, media, and many ordinary citizens, claim that the capitalist model of economy based on the free market doctrine is the main ideological and creative source of energy which has made the United States the land of ultimate freedoms and opportunities where any individual can dream about pursuing personal happiness and achieving exceptional social standing. However, the American society is currently in deep doctrinal and pragmatic crises. The greed, corruption, speculations, unjust system of income distribution and wealth accumulation, special interest domination, ideological and political divisions and confrontations, rise of radical conservative movements and racism, are the main reasons why the foundation of the American capitalist system has started to rot internally, and its supreme status weaken globally. As a result, the American "exceptionalism" is becoming more of an ideological propaganda than reality, while assuming the World's policeman role is practical insanity. In order to achieve a relative prosperity and eventually claim back its greatness, the United States must fix its broken economic system by revising its core ideological doctrine, adopt right policies and embrace true universal values. This cannot be achieved by maintaining the status quo or prescribing short-term shock therapy measures. Only a Fair-share model of economy and constructive foreign policy can provide real radical changes and best overall results in a long-term period.
