Something to Think about

Autor Judge Eugene Martin
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 17 aug 2020
'Something To Think About' is what it sounds like This weekly devotional intends to connect the reader with observations to generate a genuine, thoughtful, and realistic spiritual awakening. It's not a literary treatise. It's a short and sweet book full of observations, experiences, comments, ideas, and sometimes humorous stories reflected against the reading and understanding of the Christian Bible. This little book of devotions is designed to provide you with something to chew on, digest, think through, and live with as you encounter and traverse your individual journey with our Lord Jesus the Christ. As Ravi Zacharias says: helping the thinker believe and the believer think.

Notă biografică

Eugene L. Martin is not, except maybe in the eyes of his family, a best-selling author. He did, however, earn his law degree from the University of South Dakota Law School just before being drafted to serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam War (1968-1970). Afterward, he practiced law in his hometown, including a stint as City Attorney. He spent the next 23 years as circuit court judge presiding over criminal actions from assaults and murder to, theft, rape, driving while intoxicated, and civil actions like negligence and personal injuries, custody battles, adoptions (his favorite), juvenile matters, and more. When Martin retired from the bench, he provided legal settlement services via mediation and arbitration. Always serious about the law and justice, Martin expresses a wry sense of humor, impressive recall, and enthusiasm to engage in good and meaningful discussion. Now fully retired, he resides in Rapid City, South Dakota with his wife, Sandra. They are blessed with three amazing children, two tremendous sons-in-law, and two of the best granddaughters in the world!
