Soul Mosaic

"You touch me with the color of white / icicles, my God..." Ann M. Daly, SND de N, writes in the opening of her poem "Vignette." The powerful image of faith as seen through elemental forces becomes a running motif in her new poetry collection, Soul Mosaic. In her alternately poignant and playful work, Daly chronicles seven decades of faith. Much of that time was spent as a member of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Daly uses her experiences as a nun, professor, daughter, and woman to complete a breathtaking series of poems in free verse about her relationship with God and her faith.

In poems ranging from allusions to Dante and Ralph Vaughan Williams to moments taken from her own life, Daly gets to the heart of devotion and salvation. Her collection carries a potent energy created by her zeal for her faith and all that life has to offer.
