Molina Holmes and Marvin Ottoman have a few things in common: they have both attended Irving University and they are both working at Spotlight magazine. But, there's one more thing that Molina and Marvin can relate on. Molina, a junior at Irving University, has been with her boyfriend Khalil for a year and the expectations of the relationship have increased. Meanwhile, Marvin is a recent graduate of Irving University. He has a job, an apartment, and he's single. In other words, Marvin feels like he is where he is supposed to be at his age. Marvin values his freedom, which is why he has many rendezvous' that never make it past one night. Yet, one tragic evening, Marvin's coworker Clarence takes advantage of Marvin in a bathroom. Since there are few witnesses, and Marvin is a man, his claim of rape is not taken seriously. On the other hand, Khalil begins getting impatient with his virgin girlfriend and coerces her into acts that she's not completely comfortable with. By the end of the play, Molina and Marvin must decide if they will speak now or forever hold their pieces of information.
