Notă biografică
Anthony Kadarrell Thigpen, marked the start of his journalism career as a 13-year-old paperboy delivering news throughout his Gary, Indiana neighborhood. He served a 4-year enlistment in the U.S. Army as a Combat Infantry Fighter, after graduating from Lew Wallace High School in 1988. Upon his safe return to America, the highly decorated Gulf War veteran gained acceptance into the School of Journalism and Theology at the University of St. Thomas, after earning an honorable discharge from the U.S. Department of Defense. While attending college in 1994, and searching to discover his biological father, he simultaneously launched Thigpen Writers Group, which evolved into Literacy In Motion (Book Publishing), LLC. After college, the young journalist traveled domestically with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The national trainer deployed innovative literary technologies for federal adjudicators to include Modern Awards Processing - Development (MAP-D). In 2005, Thigpen dedicated his love and married school administrator Clara (Blackmon), M.Ed. Born to their union is one daughter, Amber Kindness Together they assumed guardianship of a son, Marvin Hearn. Thigpen volunteered as a mentor of urban youth for about 15-years. He strategically used literature and photography to combat socioeconomic conditions of poverty from Indiana to Mississippi, and from India and Guatemala to Uganda, Africa. For over 2 decades, his multi-media advancements include being a published poet (Sweet Sounds of Peace, and The Unspoken Word), religious content author (Seedtime, and Speak to My Heart), a publisher, freelance photographer and news correspondent for the Chicago SunTimes Media Group and other sources. The journalist continues to serve as publisher of almost 50 authors stretching from Chicago to Dallas and is expanding his reach westward, recently relocating to Arizona. His publications are available on Amazon.com, Kindle, and wherever books are sold.
