Volume 4 in the ADVANCED SERIES ON THEORETICAL PHYSICAL SCIENCE, which introduces the foundations of special relativity, gives the main relativistic effects, and then explains how the experiments can be analyzed and compared to form predictions of special relativity. It shows that the experiments are a test of the two-way speed of light.
