The goal of the Federal Assistance Program is to work with States to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, their habitats and the hunting, sport fishing, and recreational boating opportunities they provide.In addition, Federal Assistance provides grant management support for endangered species tradition section 6, Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) Land Acquisition, HCP Planning, and Recovery Land Acquisition Grant Programs. The following is an update on the accomplishments of the Federal Assistance Program and its partners with these grant programs.
