Standard Based Teaching: A Classroom Guide provides educators with an organizational system to help move easily into standard based grading and reporting. It provides templates and other formating aids that teachers can directly use in the classroom so that assignments, rubrics, study guides, assessments are all aligned with the standard. Standard Based Teaching: A Classroom Guide teaches educators how to create entire units that communicate essential knowledge to students for each standard taught. The nine elements standard based teaching are aligned with the six standard based grading prinples of Tomlinson and Mcighe (2006).
