Recenzii
Each chapter in this ambitious volume is of high quality, well cited, and well illustrated, and the book as a whole is a welcome contribution to scholarship on the means and modes of official correspondence in ancient states.
It is clear that the aim of this volume was to be wide reaching in scope but closely focussed content. By using a wide range of case studies and contexts the issue of state correspondence and its importance is carefully and methodically considered.
their contents, the scope of the contributions, and the obvious mastery of the subjects discussed, exceeded my expectations ... Radner [is] to be congratulated for works that deserve to be on the bookshelf -- or the desk -- of anyone working in the field of, notably, Ancient Near Eastern research.
this volume offers a collection of stimulating papers on various aspects of Ancient State Correspondence
