Peter Wydenwas a former writer for Newsweek and Executive Editor of Ladies' Home Journal. For a decade he was the president of Peter Wyden Books, a publishing house specializing in works about psychology and medicine. He was the author of more than a dozen books, including The Intimate Enemy (with Dr. George R. Bach); Day One: Before Hiroshima and After; and Bay of Pigs: The Untold Story. Born in Berlin, he died in Danbury, Connecticut in 1998.
