Step Stones

Autor Jim Scheeringa
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 14 sep 2010
He answered: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" "You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live." Luke 10: 27-28If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing right. James 2: 8I fear that Christians have gotten so caught up within our society that we have forgotten the first and second greatest commandments. In so doing we do ourselves more harm, yet it is our collective selfishness and stubbornness that keeps us from acknowledging that we are nothing without God. We are not doing right and I fear that many will not live. I also fear that many do not know what love is because we have misused the word so often. Step Stones is the path that God led me down when I needed to discover what love really is. My prayers are that it is not too late for our society; that Christians can be the ones leading us to a right standing so that we can we can be forgiven. We must first get back to the basics of what we are called to do. It all comes down to not what God can do for me, but what can I do to further the Kingdom of God. Only love true love will lead us out of this mess we are in.About the author: Jim Scheeringa and his wife Sandy originally from northwest Indiana, are now residing just north of Nashville, TN.
