The author was born in the Blue Ridge Mountains mountains of North Carolina, in the small rural town of Piney Creek. She retired to those same mountains, some 400 hundred miles north in the Poconos. Her life is rich with history of the hills, her family and work. In these later years she "commits to sit" with happy memories and family visits. Her humor and spirituality spill over in these pages. This is a joyful "momoir"--as her daughter named it--for family, friends and strangers alike.
