Recenzii
Irving is a master at creating book-centered activities for the library and the classroom. This latest work offers a variety of themed activities for grades 2-6 that can be built into the reading program.
A sequel to Stories Never Ending (2004), this volume follows the same pattern of offering fiction, nonfiction, activities, creative crafts, drama, games, and puzzles related to 10 different themes, for example, Welcome to the Middle Ages and A Glimpse of Tropical Rainforests. A nice feature is the way each chapter has separate sections for programs in school libraries and public libraries, reflecting the fact that programming needs might be different..[t]he ideas are so interesting that it's a pleasure to read through the book, and the programs may encourage children to read beyond their levels. Every library serving children should own and use this invaluable resource.
