Strange and Usual Things

Petar knocks on the door and to his surprise meets an older man, Mr Ranko whom he befriends. To his surprise Petar then meets his three daughters. Teadora, the youngest and single after her fiance died on watch in the army, is instantly attracted to Petar, and soon he asks for her hand in marriage.

A family from the city move to the country after Jelena's father have no choice but to sell their home. Soon, they become acclimatised to their environment and see the beauty of nature. As a two-year-old she asks her father Why do we live?' he realises his daughter must be very advanced, so he sends her to boarding school. However, her behaviour becomes erratic and she is sent home temporarily.
