Street Light
Autor R. L. Herronen Limba Engleză Paperback
In his debut novel, REICHOLD STREET, author R.L. Herron created a powerful coming-of-age story set in the tumultuous Vietnam War era. Dealing with the tough issues of family dysfunction, alcoholism, bullying, suicide, madness and war, it was selected as a 2012 Readers Favorite Gold Medal Winner that Kirkus Reviews called "Skillfully written and emotionally strong." In the 5-Star sequel, ONE WAY STREET, the characters react in a tense, gritty, historically-accurate thriller through the politics and fear of the war in Vietnam, the despondency and despair of veteran PTSD issues, the discovery of true love, the pain of loss, and a murderous stalker. In the final book of the trilogy, the electrifying 5-Star thriller, STREET LIGHT, key characters have survived the Vietnam War era, only to discover not all evil is found in war. Some walks on the streets of home.
A story masterfully written in the manner of J.D. Salinger "(Catcher in the Rye)," William Golding "(Lord of the Flies)" and Stephen King "(The Body)."

"FIVE-STARS STREET LIGHT by R.L. Herron is the third book in the Reichold Street Trilogy...follows the lives of a group of friends from their teenage years, through Vietnam, and a deadly stalker. In Street Light, the Reichold Street gang thought they had finally escaped the person that was trying to ruin their lives. Little did they know that evil has many faces and they are not safe on their own territory. I found Street Light hard to put down... I especially liked how Herron gave each character's perspective by having every chapter told by a different character. My favorite character was Donnie, just because he was lovable and seemed to have lost the most. The friendship that the group had was amazing. I found myself regretting that I have never had a lifelong friendship like them. I recommend for everyone to read STREET LIGHT... Reviewed by Jessyca Garcia for Readers' Favorite

"FIVE-STARS ... We first met Herron's main character Paul Barrett in Reichold Street. He then brought us One Way Street and now he has completed the trilogy with Street Light. It opens with a disturbing foreshadowing that someone is going to die. Herron starts with an ominous prison scene and introduces us to Micah who has just finished serving his time. He is headed back to Brickdale, his hometown, for some revenge. Herron re-introduces the main character, Paul Barrett, and we find out what his old friends from Brickdale are doing: Janice; Randy and Donnie. Herron builds the story well, as always, and we see an even darker side of Brickdale this time with the addition of Micah's storyline throughout. Herron has an eloquent way with words and conveys a dichotomy of an unbelievable story...and yet it is totally believable. The potential for spin offs with different characters in the series is wide open and, hopefully Herron will continue. He is definitely solidifying his mark with a number of diverse novels and has come into his own as an author.
