Structure of the Human Brain: A Photographic Atlas

Autor Stephen J. DeArmond, Madeline M. Fusco, Maynard M. Dewey
en Limba Engleză Spirală – 28 sep 1989
Long overdue, this third edition represents a thorough revision of the leading neuroanatomy atlas for medical, dental, and allied health students. Additions of new material have been counterbalanced by deletions so that the book's size remains almost the same. There are new sections on coronal views of the gross brain, biochemical neuroanatomy, magnetic resonance, and computerized tomography. The coronal section includes 11 new photographs at a magnification of 1.3x. In addition, many changes have been made in the illustrations retained from earlier editions. From reviews of the second edition:

Recenzii

The most complete and most profusely illustrated human brain atlas currently available. The atlas contains not only a basic core of information concerning the gross and sectional anatomy of the brain, but also material on the cytoarchitectual and vascular organization of the brain... The index is extensive and very usable.
An elegantly produced package of photographs and light micrographs. Handsome and yet reasonably priced.... Anyone with an interest in the subject and a weakness for beautiful books will want to own it.
A book which deserves and invites careful handling and gives much aesthetic as well as intellectual satisfaction; at its price it is a remarkable value.
