Maria Nastasia a dat nota:
This book is beautifully written, there's not a shred of doubt about that, and given how seminal it was to so many other works and entire genres, it's difficult to ignore. But as I read it, I couldn't stop thinking "of course this has been written by a girl who had zero experience of the world in general and of love in particular!". When we are teenagers, we want passion, we want destruction, we want drama. So coming from a relatively immature writer, "Wuthering Heights" makes sense. Because this is really the story of how two self-absorbed sociopaths fell in love, couldn't be together and made everyone's life a living Hell.
